The Washington Mall has announced that it will hold its first Indoor Christmas market on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from December 1 to 16.

The market will have stalls featuring vendors with unusual gifts in the lead up to the holiday season. There will also be a rum cake tasting and some vendors will be offering free raffles and special purchases.

“We wanted to create a fun addition to our retail experience in the Washington Mall in the weeks leading up to the Christmas holiday and so we decided to create an indoor Christmas market with vendors that are not usually available in our mall.

“We’re excited with the variety of products that they will offer to shoppers, along with all the regular shops that people have come to enjoy in the mall,” said Julie Mayor of Washington Properties.

Vendors will include Alan Murray — Bermuda cedar gifts, All Wrapped Up — jar candles, beautiful journals, jewellery by Cindy Mitchell, incense from England, Bermuda greeting cards and aprons by Vivian Hayward, packaged loose teas and books; Carole Holding — Bacardi rum cakes, banana dolls and angels, balancing Santas, Bermuda recipe chopping boards and dinner placemat sets and limited-edition Christmas ornaments; Off the Wall Hobby — remote control cars and boats with a free demonstration; Rachel Perry of Baubelles — unique costume jewellery and handmade organic soap; The ISIS Foundations Kathmandu Kids Club — art, crafts, jewellery and trinkets from Nepal and Uganda; Wanderlust — A collection of unique gifts, clothing and jewellery from exotic locations.
